Abstract

Internet je široko rasprostranjen medij. Koristi se na svakodnevnoj razini, u gotovo svim aspektima života i koristi ga populacija svih dobnih skupina. Ubrzava komunikaciju, potiče kreativnost i učenje, omogućuje pristup različitim informacijama i, općenito, olakšava čovjekovo svakodnevno funkcioniranje. Nebrojene su prednosti korištenja interneta, ali je i mnoštvo negativnih posljedica koje su povećane zbog rizičnih ponašanja korisnika interneta. Najbolja prevencija neželjenih i negativnih učinaka korištenja interneta jest edukacija. Već je od najranije dobi važno poticati medijsku te informatičku i informacijsku pismenost. Time se osvještavaju pozitivne i negativne strane tehnologije, uči se kako se ponašati u virtualnom svijetu, ali i kako se u njemu zaštititi. Drugim riječima, stječu se potrebne kompetencije i vještine za sigurno korištenje interneta.

Abstract (english)

The Internet is a widespread medium. It is used on a daily basis, in almost all aspects of life and is used by populations of all ages. It speeds up communication, encourages creativity and learning, provides access to a variety of information and, in general, facilitates a person's daily functioning. There are countless benefits to using the Internet, but there are also many negative consequences that have increased due to the risky behaviors of Internet users. The best prevention of unwanted and negative effects of using the internet is education. It is important to encourage media, computer science and information literacy from an early age. This raises awareness of the positive and negative sides of technology, teaches how to behave in the virtual world, but also how to protect yourself in it. In other words, the necessary competencies and skills for safe use of the Internet are acquired.
