Abstract

Ubrzani razvoj znanosti i tehnologije postavlja nove izazove pred tržište rada i obrazovanje. Poseban naglasak stavlja se na STEM obrazovanje kojim se učenike nastoji osposobiti znanjima i vještinama potrebnima u 21. stoljeću, a u okviru kojeg obrazovanje na području informatike i razvoj vještina programiranja i računalnog razmišljanja igraju ključnu ulogu. U aktivnostima nastave Informatike, sve češće se kao obrazovni alat koriste edukativni roboti. Cilj ovog istraživanja je ispitati interes i spremnost učitelja informatike za uključivanje edukativnih robota u proces učenja i poučavanja nastavnog predmeta Informatike u višim razredima osnovne škole. Istraživanje je provedeno online anketnim upitnikom na uzorku od 164 učitelja informatike. Rezultati istraživanja pokazuju statistički značajnu razliku između interesa za korištenje edukativnih robota i vještini programiranja prema spolu te znanju o robotici s obzirom na dob ispitanika. Utvrđena je i razlika u interesu, samoprocjenama vještina programiranja, znanja o robotici i samopouzdanja za njihovo korištenje u nastavi s obzirom na to koristi li ispitanik edukativne robote u nastavi. Korelacijskom analizom ustanovljena je povezanost interesa za edukativne robote i samopouzdanja za njihovo korištenje u nastavi sa samoprocjenama znanja i vještina. Rezultati istraživanja ukazuju na važnost stručne i pedagoške pripreme učitelja na području robotike, programiranja i računalnog razmišljanja radi učinkovitije implementacije novih tehnologija u proces učenja i poučavanja nastavnog predmeta Informatike.

Abstract (english)

The rapid development of science and technology poses new challenges to the labor market and education. Particular emphasis is placed on STEM education, which aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed in the 21st century, with Informatics education and the development of programming and computer thinking skills playing a key role. In Informatics education, educational robots are increasingly being used as teaching tools. The aim of this paper was to investigate the interest and readiness of Informatics teachers in incorporating educational robots in the process of learning and teaching the subject of Informatics in the upper classes. The study was conducted using an online survey of a sample of 164 Informatics teachers. The results of the study showed a statistically significant difference between interest in using educational robots and programming skills by gender and knowledge about robotics with regard to the age of the respondents. A difference was found between interest, self-assessment of programming skills, knowledge of robotics and confidence for their use in education in relation to whether the respondent uses educational robots in education. A Pearson correlation analysis revealed a relationship between self-confidence and self-assessment of knowledge of robotics and programming skills. The results of the study indicate the importance of professional and pedagogical preparation of informatics teachers in the field of robotics, programming, and computational thinking in order to more effectively incorporate new technologies into the process of learning and teaching the subject of Informatics.
