Abstract

Ziel dieser Diplomarbeit ist Antun Gustav Matošs Verhältnis zur deutschen Sprache in seinem literatischen Werk zu untersuchen. Es wird auf wichtig Punkte in Matošs Biografie, politische Ansichten und seine Konzeption der Nation erläutert. Anhand des Essay Zagreb i Zagrebi (1912), dem Poem Mora (1907) und der Humoreske Nasamarili ga (1895) wird Deutsch als imperiale Sprache untersucht. In der Erzählung Nekad bilo, sad se spominjalo (1900) wird die deutsche Sprache als Lehngut analysiert. Letztens wird im Essay Pariz, 28. novembra 1901 (1901) die deutsche Sprache als Kultursprache erläutert. Der letzte Teil der Arbeit versucht diese Aspekte der Sprache in den Kontext der Kulturtransferprozesse zu stellen.
