Abstract

У дипломній роботі представлено та проаналізовано елементи кризи ідентичності та постколоніальної травми головного героя роману “Інтернат” Сергія Жадана. Сергій Жадан за допомогою метафори дороги і поведінки головного героя насправді описує ціле покоління українців. Інтернат – це не просто одне з місць де відбувається дія роману, це не просто будівля, де діти навчаються та живуть. За словами Жадана, Інтернат – “метафора світовідчуття, метафора загубленості, недолюбленості врешті-решт”.

Abstract (english)

The master's thesis presents and analyzes the elements of the identity crisis and postcolonial trauma of the main character of the novel “Internat” by Serhiy Zhadan. Serhiy Zhadan describes the entire generation of Ukrainians with the help of the metaphor for the road and through the behavior of the main character. The boarding school is not just one of the locations in the novel, it is not just a building where children are educated and live. According to Zhadan, the boarding school is “a metaphor for the perception of the world, a metaphor for loss and, ultimately, for a lack of love”.

Abstract (croatian)

Diplomski rad prikazuje i analizira elemente krize identiteta i postkolonijalne traume glavnog junaka romana “Internat” Sergija Žadana. Sergij Žadan uz pomoć metafore puta te kroz ponašanje glavnog lika opisuje čitavu generaciju Ukrajinaca. Internat nije samo jedna od lokacija u romanu, nije samo zgrada u kojoj se djeca obrazuju i žive. Prema riječima Žadana, internat je “metafora percepcije svijeta, metafora izgubljenosti te naposljetku nedostatka ljubavi”.
