Abstract

U ovom diplomskom radu ispitan je odnos demografskih varijabli i razine kulturne inteligencije u kontekstu učenja francuskog jezika u srednjoj školi. Istraživanje je provedeno u dvije srednje škole u Zagrebu : Gornjogradska gimnazija i XVIII. gimnazija (N = 92). U istraživanju anonimno su sudjelovali učenici koji uče francuski jezik i oni koji ga ne uče.

Rezultati su pokazali da nema razlika između dvije skupine učenika na području mjerenja kulturne inteligencije. S ukupnim rezultatom mjerne skale kulturne inteligencije povezani su prosjek engleskog jezik i broj posjećenih država. Obje stavke najviše su povezane s razinom metakognitivne, motivacijske i kognitivne kulturne inteligencije. U posljednjoj analizi zaključili smo da učenici koji uče francuski jezik u većini se slažu s tvrdnjama koje se odnose na motiviranost učenja francuskog jezika. Najmanje se slažu s tvrdnjama koje se odnose na uporabu francuskog jezika van škole te na poteškoće u pisanju i čitanju francuskog jezika.

Abstract (english)

In this thesis we examined the relationship between demographic variables and the level of cultural intelligence in the context of learning French in high school. The research was conducted in two high schools in Zagreb: High school Gornjogradska and XVIII. High school (N = 92). Students who are learning French and those who are not learning it participated anonymously in the research.

The results show that there is no difference between the two groups of students in the area of cultural intelligence. With the overall score of the cultural intelligence measurement scale are related the average of the English language and the number of countries visited. Both items are mostly related to the level of metacognitive, motivational, and cognitive cultural intelligence. In the last analysis, we concluded that students learning French mostly agree with the statements regarding the motivation to learn French. They least agree with the statements concerning the use of French outside of school and the difficulties in writing and reading French.
